Are you going on a trip? If so, don’t forget to pack for your smile! Oral hygiene is extremely important, even when you travel, so it’s best to keep your chompers in tip-top shape no matter where you go. To help you pack for your smile, our Oakdale Family Dentistry team recommends packing the following items in your suitcase:
-Travel toothbrush: The smaller the toothbrush you have, the better. That way, it won’t take up much room in your bag. It’s also recommended to store it in a protective cover while you travel. The cover should protect the bristles and keep them free from germs. Make sure the cover also has ventilation so the brush can dry after you scrub your smile.
-Travel toothpaste: If you are traveling on a plane, please remember that you can only pack toothpaste that weighs about 3.4 ounces. If you exceed that weight limit, the paste will get confiscated and you won’t be able to take it with you. So, make sure your toothpaste is travel sized so you won’t run into any problems.
-Floss: Flossing is a vital part of your oral hygiene routine, so don’t forget to pack your favorite flossing product. This tool is also handy if you ever get food stuck in your teeth. If you floss after each meal, you won’t need to worry about having a food-filled smile for pictures.
-Mouthwash: Mouthwash is a beneficial liquid that will complete the smile-cleaning job and keep your breath fresh and pristine. However, you will only be able to take a rinse that weighs 3.4 ounces or less with you on the plane, so make sure you have travel-sized mouthwash with you.
If you take these oral hygiene products with you, there is a high chance that your oral health will remain in top-notch condition.
